My house is definitely a 1974 break up level. I ripped off the siding and noticed that the sill plate is usually rotten. The wall structure is framed on tóp of the basis with bending up 2x4s. The 1st 2x4 closest to the basis is rotten. From whát I can tell this component of the sill would bring the load from laminated ray that runs down the center of the house. There is certainly a set of 4 2x4s that bring this insert down to the basis. I has been was wanting to know what the greatest way to move about helping this fill while replacing thé rotten 2x4.

The roof is over 35 years old and was constructed separating not like a modern roof. Some of the trusses is nailed into the top plate.Could I cut out a section of the cornish and wall gyprock and replace 2 metres of the damaged top plate. Of I will use two braces to support the rest of the roof while I am replacing that section.
